Time

Time - Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" (melting clocks)

For all of you in my “time machine” (you know who you are)

It is all but one
alpha and omega
yesterday and today
55 years ago, now, tomorrow
different but the same
how are you?
same as always
the arc of now – no temporal borders
I saw you then, I will see you yesterday, I see you now and always
who said it was all a long time ago
when I feel its sting in the now?
you left, you never left, you are
who are you anyway?
who am I next to you?
and why?
I don’t have to remember what I did because it hasn’t happened yet
I can still fix it
Maybe I’ll still come around yesterday
if only to brush your cheek with the back of my hand
once again
