Speaking of place names, there’s a hamlet in Alberta called Liberal, where I can guarantee you that not a single one of its residents votes Liberal at any level. When the Alliance Party was around, they voted for the Alliance.
However, I know for a fact that the one-time Mayor of Alliance, Alberta, voted for the Alberta Liberals. You can’t make this stuff up.
